It all seemed to fly by so fast...
My friend shares the same birthday as me, so we've often spent many years celebrating in ChinaTown together. This year, we did that, but also a good friend came by to visit and cooked for us! What a treat!

I also made some cookie dough a few days prior. My friend recommended browning the butter, and even though it was a little scary at first, these are probably some of the best-tasting cookies I've made yet! It was a hit with everyone too!
Things have been really busy for me and I've been juggling a bunch work-wise, so this was a nice diffuser and break. Though, hanging out with friends for a weekend, I did realize I haven't seen anybody for 3 months... My body really felt it, it was so sore! Even though I've been keeping up with my hourly treadmill daily... I really need to move more.
I haven't been playing ffxiv as much, but I have been playing a bunch of diablo 4! I've been enjoying that a lot.
As for personal work, I've been making really nice progress on it! I'm starting to write in the end parts of the story. I'm really happy with how it seems to be concluding! I also played this game from start to finish not too long ago, I was surprised at how lengthy it was so far! I'm estimating it'll be around a two and a half hour game if you only do the main story and know where to go. (So far, it's around an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours).
The way I've been breaking it down is this (which I think I've mentioned in other journal entrees) Boss fights -> minigames -> mapping out entire map -> writing in the main story and connecting the maps [currently here near the end of the game] -> side quests/mini-stories -> sound + music.
I'm really excited to share with everyone someday! My only concern with it I suppose is that, like with my previous games, it's not so much a game, but rather a vehicle to tell a story. It was really fun though making attempts with the boss battles.
