Wow journal!
I'm doing my annual/bi-annual visit to Canada to see friends/have fun.
I've been to quite a few festivals, one of them being CNE. It's my first year going! I didn't expect this festival to be as big as it was. My expectations were a bit tempered from earlier festivals I went to. I walked over 20k steps that day! It was a lot of fun.
I don't really have photos of much of the food there, but I did eat some fun things. I ended up getting a bit sick, I can't handle too many exciting foods at once. I ended up feeling better toward the end of the day and enjoyed the rail cart thing. Heights a bit scary though..!
I went to a little farm, I was curious about this one because I've never been to a sunflower field before. It was very pretty!
I went to a Ren Faire up here! I've only been to the one in New York, so I was curious to see how the two would compare. It was also very nice and also very festive! I love seeing all the vendors selling their own works, and the fun energy and awesome outfits. I was also happy to show my friends their first ren faires. Seems they also had a ton of fun!
As for my personal project game..!
The trailer is all finished! I'm waiting on a few more songs to be completed, other than that the game is essentially complete and ready to go live after I put them in.
The sound effects are kind of lacking though... So I might possibly try to find some way to make some sounds sound better, but it isn't high priority for me I think. I was intending to put a little more effort into putting sound effects everywhere that sound better, but Gameboy only has like 4 audio channels, so I found maybe this might get distracting anyway as it takes the place of instruments in songs at times. (Maybe it's a mistake to think this way though)
There's still some bugs here and there, but nothing that'll leave players soft-locked (hopefully). I apologize in advanced, there are some things I can't fix due to medium limitations, and some things that are kind of beyond my abilities to fix.
I've been doing bug fixing and testing for as long as it took me to even make the game. I've learned a lot but I'm starting to get a bit fatigued, so I once again apologize if some slip through.
Despite it being rough around the edges, I'm really proud of how this game turned out! Especially while I'm adding in music. The music really makes everything come alive! I hope you will enjoy it! This game will be released for free and you will be able to play it directly on itch.io or be able to download it to play it locally through methods. Hopefully I'll be able to release it sometime before the year is over.
That's all for now!
