After I got back from my europe visit, I was really missing some of those baked foods... So I thought, maybe I could try making some!

Cookies

Butter cookies

Tem's first baked thing! I wanted to make butter cookies. They came out great! The icing on top is.. the icing! That's made with powdered sugar, vanilla extract and half and half. Who knew icing was so easy to make?

Almond cookies

These were a piece of cake! Faster to make than the butter cookies, but still tasty in it's own way! It has a lighter flavor and texture.

Cheesecake

This was my first difficult recipe..! I made enough for two, one of them I made without using a water bath and one I did. The circular one I did without the water bath and well, it was a bit dryer. Don't skip out on the water bath!

Croissant

Most difficult recipe yet! I think I've had varying degrees of success with this, only one of them had a nice honeycomb kinda texture. Though, even if some didn't have it, they all were super tasty! I enjoyed the process, I like the laminating!

Croquettes

A recipe I definitely wanted too try! Deep frying always feels a little scary, but the end result is really cool and tasty! The first one I made was with immitation crab meat and tofu! The second one, as per my dad's request, was ground beef (cooked with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin), boiled egg and a black olive.

Honey Muffin

Coming after croissants and croquettes, this one was a piece of cake! And also incredibly tasty. I didn't have any oats so instead I used some sliced almonds I had.

Pizza

Wow pizza! None of these look particularly pretty, but they all tasted amazing, especially the third one! That forth one's crust was in the fridge for 3-4 days, and it really made that crust so much more flavorful. I wanna make another pizza already!

Brownies

Easy peasy one to make, and super tasty! I like it best when it's freshly made and warm!

Donuts

This one was scary! It was my first time deep frying something. I felt like I needed a helmet or something to protect me..! I was a bit difficult to shape, but the final result was super tasty!

Bread

Ciabatta

Wow bread! Coming right after croissants, this was gonna be a piece of cake... or so I thought! I really struggled with the shape and trying to transfer bread onto a hot pan. It usually deflated, got stuck or broke, or just rose very strangely... Here's a bunch of different variations! The first one was the most correct and most tasty!

Walnut Bread

My favorite bread yet! This bread goes super well with anything, especially as french toast! I would super reccomend this one!

Carrot Cake

My first time making a cake! I had a lot of difficulty getting the center of the cakes to fully cook. As a result the edges got a bit darker than I'd like, but they still tasted great! I made this cake for my mom's birthday, she seemed to really like it.

Final Thoughts

I'm still quite new at baking and a lot of this is trial and error for me... But I've found even with the mistakes and mess ups, everythings still been super tasty regardless! I'm not sure I'll update this page every time I try a new recipe, but I'll try to update it for the notable ones.

Don't bake too often! It's too difficult to resist freshly baked sweets...
